Commitment to Pharmacy

Professional leadership body

Professional networking

This workstream seeks to create a series of communication channels between professionals through internet technology but also events, seminars, conferences and publications.

There are currently four projects:

The mentoring and mentor-support scheme

The mentoring scheme will offer a valuable and impartial source of advice and support from someone who can help you find solutions to problems. The PLB is developing a pool of potential mentors who are prepared to help their fellow pharmacists. To find out more information on how to become a mentor or mentee, see the link below:

Special events to promote members’ interests

The Special events project will use events to promote the interests of members. This project is still in its early stage and more information will be available shortly.

Virtual networks

This project endeavors to look at ways of providing members with an opportunity to share experiences and learn from fellow professionals. Virtual networks will include new ways for members to come together through web-based technology.

Local support networks, including Local Practice Forums (LPFs)

The main function of a local practice forum (LPF) will be to bring together pharmacists from across all sectors and to be where many of the services offered by the PLB will be delivered. It will also be a place to provide great leadership, vision and support to the local professional body members.
