Continuing development and education, helping members to keep abreast of innovations and changes in their fields is a role of the professional leadership body.
There are four ongoing projects in this area:
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
CPD is currently a mandatory professional requirement. It will become a statutory requirement once GPhC has formed and the legislation is in place. Therefore we aim to provide support for members to plan, undertake and record CPD to meet regulatory requirements.

Pre-registration support
This includes support for pre-registration graduate and tutor members. This service is in its early stages and more information will be available shortly.
Return to practice’ and ‘early pharmacy years’ support
Once pharmacists are admitted to the register, they are required to practice to a minimum level of competence from day one. It is recognised, though, that there may be issues around confidence and experience.
These projects are in their early stages. If you would like to be kept informed of all discussions and developments, please subscribe to our newsletter using the 'Keep me informed' box at the bottom right of the page.
